UK Biobank Chairman, Rt. Hon. Professor Lord Kakkar KBE, has been made a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) for services to healthcare and public service. He has been recognised for his membership and chairmanship of a range of public and charitable bodies, including UK Biobank, as well as for his services to the medical field.
Rt. Hon. Professor Lord Kakkar KBE was one of only two individuals to be recognised with a KBE in the New Year Honours List 2022. UK Biobank congratulates Lord Kakkar for receiving this award and for his ongoing contribution to public life and the life sciences.
