Approval date: January 11th 2021

Lay summary

In our study, firstly, we will find potential unknown traits related to Head and Neck Cancer(HNC). Then, we will  assess genetic correlations among all traits by using cross-trait GWAS meta-analysis and we will perform Transcriptome-wide association studies (TWAS) integrates gene expression measurements with summary association statistics from large-scale genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to identify genes whose cis-regulated expression is associated with complex traits. Basing on these finding we will then investigate the potential risk traits, causal genes and we will generate risk models containing both genetic and phenotypic factors. This study will provide important information for the pathology and risk factors of HNC and help to guide cancer risk assessment.
